What is Canthoplasty Surgery and why is it important?

The Canthoplasty is an important surgical procedure that helps people to correct their eye shape, especially the dropping eye.  The lateral part of eye dropping is corrected and the eyes are provided with correct shape and size through surgical procedures.  Though it comes under the section of Blepharoplasty, the name Canthoplasty is given since, the Cantho tendon is severed and reformed, especially it is not done to correct wrinkles or any fat removal or removing the wrinkles on the other hand it is carried out to change the shape of the eyes which will enhance the beauty of the eyes.  The Canthoplasty surgery begins with the severing the Canthal tendon that is responsible for holding the eye.  The lower canthal tendon is cut to form a tight tendon and then it is reattached to the orbital bone.
