The past and present history of Korean Plastic surgery

The first steps of Korean plastic surgery history dates back to Second World War, where a large number of doctors are mobilized to cure injured soldiers.  US Military doctors are deputed to conduct plastic surgeries for the injured soldiers where reconstructive surgeries played prominent role in the treatment.  However, even though these are the beginning stages of Plastic surgery, the doctors then did not intend to take up plastic surgery in an extensive depth.  Around in the year 1961 equal minded surgeons belonging to various other fields are joined together and founded the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons).  A gradual improvement was witnessed in the field of plastic surgery in Korea. 

Gradual improvement in the technology, rising demand among the Korean people, especially ladies, changing global demand for the beautiful personality and its implication in the modern society, employers demanding to employ beautiful women in their companies, made women take refuge plastic surgery.  This has enhanced the demand to a greater extent.  The Korean plastic surgeons are now recognized at the global level for their skills, expertise and academic qualification across the world.

The country is now popular in extending the best service, with the state of the art of equipments and well organized hospital for inpatients and better facilities for the outpatients and foreign patients.  The Korean plastic surgery before and after, is an interesting journey to read and it reveals the gradual change in the psychology and the changes witnessed in the perception beauty and glamour.
