What is Ptosis Correction Surgery?

The eyes are the important facial feature and instantly attract the attention of opposite people. It is the most expressive part of your face. It is also known as Blepharoplasty. Usually, Asian people and people belonging to Japan, China, Korea and Tibet undergo this treatment. The causes related to Ptosis increases with the increase in age. An eyelid that covers upper eye or lower eye is operated and enhances the vision power of the patient.

The dropping eyelid makes the person as though they are always in need of enough sleep and often they appear to have a lazy eye. Upper eyelid surgery is carried out to provide clear vision by giving the correct form to the eyelid. This is done by removing the excess fat accumulation or by removing the layers of skin settled on the eyelid. 

The type of surgery is decided by the surgeons. Consultations with the surgeons are essential to understand the position of the patient and how they should go through the procedure. Patients who wish to undergo this surgery should consult only expert surgeons well known for their skills in cosmetic surgery and reconstructive surgery. Otherwise, vision may get impaired.
